If your child spends a lot of time swimming in lakes or pools during the summer, he or she may develop a mild skin infection or rash, commonly known as “swimmer’s itch.” This condition is caused by tiny larvae found in some lakes or pools that are too small to be seen with the naked eye.

Foot dermatitis is a common summer disease worldwide. It is caused by parasites and is characterized by itching, rashes and possibly inflammation of the skin of the feet. In most cases, the rash will disappear without complications.
