Gastric polyps are lesions that protrude from the surface of the gastric mucosa. Gastric polyps are often discovered incidentally, occurring in 2-3% of patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and rarely cause symptoms such as bleeding or slow digestion. However, proper diagnosis and treatment are important because some polyps have a risk of cancer.
