Precocious puberty is when the first signs of puberty are detected in girls before the age of 8 and in boys before the age of 9-10. The consequence is a decrease in height in adulthood, in addition to causing psychological disorders for children because of unusual changes in the body compared to their peers. There are many ways to diagnose precocious puberty in children, one of which is measuring the concentration of Gonadotropin in the blood serum.
