Fetal growth restriction is a condition of inadequate nutrition for the fetus while it is still in the womb. Fetal growth restriction is diagnosed based on fetal ultrasound and fetal weight. Intrauterine growth restriction ultrasound should be performed at least two times, at least four weeks apart.
