Discoid meniscus is a common abnormal meniscal variant in children. A detailed history of painful joint symptoms and physical examination combined with knee MRI help diagnose discoid meniscus more effectively in cases with a wide range of clinical presentations, from asymptomatic to severe knee pain and swelling.
