Angina is usually triggered by physical exertion and psychological stress and is relieved by rest or by sublingual nitroglycerin. Symptomatic treatment of angina may include antiplatelet agents, nitrates, beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, ACE inhibitors, statins, and angioplasty or coronary bypass surgery.
