Pulmonary artery banding
Congenital intracardiac pulmonary stenosis is usually diagnosed as early as a few hours after birth. Pulmonary stenosis causes the flow of blood from the heart to the lungs to be obstructed, due to a deformed or narrowing of the pulmonary artery. Pulmonary artery stenosis surgery is a temporary method applied to treat congenital heart disease with severe pulmonary hypertension.
