Keratoconus is a condition in which the cornea is not spherical but bulges outward into a cone shape. Keratoconus can cause blurred vision and sensitivity to light. Keratoconus usually affects both eyes and usually begins between the ages of 10 and 25. The condition can progress slowly over 10 years or longer.
