How much sugar do children eat per day?
According to the World Health Organization, daily sugar intake should not exceed 10% of daily energy (calories), or better yet - no more than 5%. Children should not consume more than 6 teaspoons of sugar per day. For children under 2 years old, their diet should not contain added sugar, as this can be harmful to their health.
