Diaper rash or diaper dermatitis is a form of skin inflammation in the diaper area. Diaper rash is common in babies and young children during the diaper period and can cause the affected skin to become red, shiny and uncomfortable. It is often caused by diapers that are not changed often or are wet or are rubbed too much.
