Vinmec Times City organizes programs to spread knowledge and provide first aid instructions at home

The "Prevention of Stroke - Myocardial Infarction and Instructions for Self-First Aid at Home" workshop was organized by Vinmec Times City at Vinhomes residential areas to spread knowledge and guide residents to provide first aid for incidents at home. The program is built in a methodical, informative and effective procedure. From theory to practice is still a big gap, however, with the constant efforts of Vinmec’s medical staff, programs to spread knowledge and first aid instructions in residential areas have become increasingly popular. Thanks to that, the number of people with emergency rescue capacity can be increased. Accordingly, people will be provided with professional knowledge and how to recognize signs of patients in emergency, when they have respiratory failure, acute circulatory failure, nerve damage, shock, etc. with the following order of priority:

  • Emergency A: Airway and spine
  • Emergency B: Breathing pattern
  • Emergency C: Circulation
  • Emergency D: Neurology
  • Emergency E: Whole body

Additionally, community members will engage in discussions regarding procedures and protocols for handling common scenarios such as drowning, electric shock, burns, snakebites, and more. The supplementation of healthcare knowledge is crucial, not only for enhancing everyday first aid skills but also for individuals to protect themselves and their families. As a result, over 90% of attendees at the workshop have gained a clear understanding of stroke and heart attack prevention, as well as first aid measures when encountering patients experiencing symptoms. This marks a solid initial step in elevating the residents' awareness to decrease complications from strokes when timely first aid is not administered.

"Prevention of Stroke - Myocardial Infarction and Instructions for Self-First Aid at Home" brings useful knowledge, attracting a large number of people to participate.

Breast and thyroid screening programs by Vinmec Times City

The series of programs: "Community Health Education - Breast Screening" and "Thyroid Disease Screening" for women, organized by Vinmec International Hospital has attracted significant attention. Vinmec's community-oriented programs are conducted entirely free of charge with the aim of enhancing public awareness of breast and thyroid diseases, promoting regular check-ups, and providing opportunities for early detection of diseases.

Screening and early detection of breast and thyroid cancer play a crucial role in the treatment process, increasing the likelihood of recovery, reducing treatment costs, and preserving the function of these organs for patients. Regular thyroid check-ups and breast disease screening activities contribute to the timely detection of diseases when there are still potential risks or in the early stages. Based on screening results, doctors can provide diagnoses, advice, and appropriate treatment guidance.

At each event, doctors and healthcare staff from Vinmec Hospital will provide consultations and address queries related to thyroid and breast diseases. During ultrasound examinations and screening, doctors will further explain the damages, as well as less invasive and benign intervention treatment methods. Additionally, the medical team will guide customers on how to prevent these diseases through proper nutrition and appropriate physical exercise tailored to each person's health condition.

Driven by a sense of social responsibility towards the community and committed to realizing our healthcare mission, Vinmec consistently organizes health education and community activities in various regions, reaching people of different age groups at risk of thyroid and breast diseases. These activities have significantly contributed to enhancing the overall health of the community.
