Starting from November 13, 2024, Vinmec officially launches the “Green Wednesday” program, spreading the message of a “Green Ecosystem” for a sustainable future.
Small Actions, Big Impact
The “Green Wednesday” program is an invitation from Vinmec to all customers and employees to join hands in minimizing environmental impact. Every small action taken weekly will contribute to positive change:
1. Say No to Plastic Bags
Every Wednesday, Vinmec’s pharmacy counters will temporarily stop providing plastic bags. If customers need one, it will be available for a fee of 1,000 VND per bag. All proceeds will go to the “For a Green Future” Fund to support environmental protection and sustainable development initiatives
2. Minimize Paper Envelopes
Vinmec encourages customers to limit the use of paper envelopes for storing medical records on Wednesdays. Instead, eco-friendly storage solutions will be prioritized to reduce paper consumption.
3. Choose Environmentally-Friendly Products
To promote green choices, Vinmec pharmacies will offer eco-friendly bags such as fabric bags, pineapple fiber bags, and paper bags. These products help reduce waste while ensuring safety for users.
Before launching the “Green Wednesday” program, Vinmec pioneered the “Vinmec Go Green” campaign with practical steps, including: • Digitizing diagnostic images: Reducing plastic waste from X-ray films. • Using eco-friendly materials: Replacing inpatient room supplies with sustainable materials. • Implementing e-Contracts: The e-Contract system helps reduce paper consumption.
