Spironolactone is also used to treat edema associated with heart failure, cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome.
Furosemide is a loop diuretic that reduces excess fluid retention (edema) caused by heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. It also alleviates symptoms such as dyspnea and swelling in the limbs and abdomen.
