1. Uses of Lipcor 50

At therapeutic doses, Lipcor has an inhibitory effect on angiotensin II receptors leading to inhibition of vasoconstriction and increased aldosterone secretion, helping to dilate blood vessels, reduce peripheral circulatory resistance and lower blood pressure. Therefore, the drug helps to protect the kidneys in diabetic patients with proteinuria and reduce mortality and hospitalization in patients with heart failure.

2. Usage and dosage of Lipcor 50

Adults: The usual starting dose of Lipcor is 50mg x 1 time/day, can be increased to 100mg x 1 time/day or up to 150mg x 1 time/day depending on indications and response. patient response.

In the case of patients with impaired liver function, or the elderly with weak health, a lower dose may be prescribed, increasing the dose more slowly than usual. Children and adolescents: The drug may be prescribed for children or adolescents aged 6-18 years with hypertension. The recommended starting dose is 25 mg once daily for children between 20 kg and 50 kg, which may be increased to a maximum of 50 mg once daily depending on the patient's response. For children > 50 kg, the recommended starting dose is 50 mg once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of 100 mg once daily. Doses higher than 100 mg/day have not been studied in pediatric patients.
