Medoclor Pak Kit: Uses, indications and precautions when using

Medoclor Pak Kit is a combination medicine used to numb the skin or surfaces of the penis or vagina. This medication is used in preparation for minor surgery or medical procedures on these areas.

This medicine contains 2 amide-type local anesthetics, lidocaine and prilocaine. It is used on normal, unblemished skin or on the external genital area to prevent pain before certain procedures such as needle puncture, skin grafting, or skin laser surgery. It works by temporarily numbing the skin and surrounding area. Do not use this product for ears. If this product alone cannot completely numb the area being treated, it may be used to numb the area before lidocaine is injected to provide enough pain relief for certain procedures (e.g., Removal. genital warts).

Use this medicine only on normal skin and genital area. Do not apply to broken, irritated or open wounds unless directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this product.
Apply this product to the area at the appropriate time as directed. How long it takes for the medicine to stay on your skin depends on the type of treatment you're having. It is usually applied at least 1 hour before needle insertion and 2 hours before minor skin procedures. It may be applied by a health care professional before certain genital procedures. In this case, you should lie down to let the medicine stay in place.
To apply, take the prescribed amount of cream directly onto the skin. You can also squeeze it into a measuring guide to make sure you get the right dose and then apply it to the area. Cover with an airtight gauze dressing as directed by your doctor. Let the cream stay in place, usually in a thick layer, as directed by your doctor. Remove dressings and creams and clean the area thoroughly, usually shortly before the procedure or as directed by your doctor.
Dosage and application time are based on your age and health condition and the procedure you are experiencing. In children, dosage may also be based on weight. Do not use larger quantities than specified. Do not use on large areas of skin, apply heat, or leave on longer than directed or serious side effects may occur.
If you are applying this product to a child, make sure the medicine stays in place and that your child does not put the medicine or bandages in the mouth. You can use a second coating to prevent your child from touching the ice cream.
Avoid getting the product into your eyes, nose, ears or mouth. If this medication gets into eyes, flush affected eyes immediately and completely with water or saline. A numb eye can lead to injury because you can't feel particles in the eye or other dangers. Therefore, protect your eyes until sensation returns.
The area may be numb for several hours after the procedure. Protect the area from injury. Be careful not to bump, rub, or scratch the area or expose it to cold heat until sensation returns.

Redness, swelling, tingling, burning, or skin lightening may occur. When these symptoms persist, notify your doctor for treatment.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medicine because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
Notify your doctor immediately if you develop blistering of the skin where the medicine was applied.
Remove the cream and get medical help right away if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur: Slow breathing, dizziness, fainting, fast heartbeat, mental changes (eg. examples: Confusion, anxiety), convulsions, severe drowsiness, pale skin, unusual tiredness, trouble breathing.
Strong reactions when taking this medicine are rare. However, tell your doctor if you experience these symptoms: Rash, itching (especially of the face), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to lidocaine or prilocaine; or any other amide anesthetic (eg, Bupivacaine); or if you have any other allergies.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: Heart disease (e.g., Irregular heartbeat), kidney disease, liver disease, a blood disorder most determination (methemoglobinemia).
Use this medicine with caution in the elderly as they may be more sensitive to its effects, especially dizziness.
During pregnancy, this medicine should be used only when clearly needed. Lidocaine passes into breast milk. It is not known whether prilocaine passes into breast milk.

Drug interactions can change the way a drug works or increase the risk of serious side effects. Keep a list of all the products you use (including prescription drugs and herbal products) and share it with your doctor and pharmacist.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and herbal products you may use, especially of: heart rhythm medications (e.g., Amiodarone, bretylium, mexiletine, phenytoin, sotalol).

Do not overdose to avoid serious danger such as difficulty breathing or fainting. Symptoms of overdose may include: Convulsions, loss of consciousness. Go to the medical facility center for treatment.
Do not take this medicine with other medicines.
If you miss a dose, ask your doctor or pharmacist right away for a new dosing schedule.
Store with tightly closed lid at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
