Your symptoms are related to gastroesophageal reflux disease . There is a sphincter between the esophagus and the stomach that prevents food from coming up from the stomach. Normally, this sphincter opens only when we swallow to move food down to the stomach. Causes of reflux: Weakening of the lower esophageal sphincter, diaphragmatic hernia, stagnation of food in the stomach (gastritis, gastric cancer, pyloric stenosis..), sudden increase in intra-abdominal pressure.
