Immunological features of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA)
Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) is a form of type 1 diabetes but appears in people over 30 years old. With similar immune characteristics to type 1 diabetes but late onset and symptoms similar to type 2 diabetes such as family history, overweight or obesity or preserved beta cell function, the disease is also called type 1.5 diabetes.
