Uses of Urocoline

Urocoline is a psychotropic drug whose main ingredient is citicoline, which is often used in the acute phase of traumatic brain injury to improve symptoms and prevent dangerous complications. So how should Urocoline be used?

Urocoline drug has the main ingredient citicoline which is a drug that stimulates the synthesis of phospholipids on nerve cell membranes. Urocoline is prepared as a solution for IV injection in acute cases, IM injection in other cases. Dosage of Urocoline is as follows:
Acute phase: 500-750 mg/24 hours New sequelae: 250 mg/24 hours Daily recommended dose falls in the range of 500-2000 mg depending on the medical condition and patient response. The duration of treatment lasts 6 weeks for acute exacerbations and 12 months for chronic cases, depending on the severity of the disease. In case of ischemic stroke or traumatic brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage, use 2g a day, divided into 2 times, duration of treatment is 6 weeks. In case of neurological sequelae due to acute stroke or traumatic brain injury, use 500-1000 mg/day, duration of treatment is 12 months.
