Prof. Nguyen Thanh Liem performs endoscopic techniques in Phillipines

At the 70 ^th Surgical Conference in the Philippines, taking place from November 31 ^st to December 2 ^nd , Prof. Nguyen Thanh Liem, CEO of Vinmec International Hospital, gave lectures for his colleagues around the world on laparoscopic techniques for bile duct cysts and endoscopic repair for anal malformations.

Prof. Liem was invited to demonstrate endoscopy at this conference. He performed surgery for a patient who had atrophic anal rectal urethral fistula. This defect usually causes a leak of feces via the urine. Successful surgery repaired the defect and alleviated the associated inconveniences, bringing normal function to the patient.
