What causes elevated liver enzymes in people with a positive HBeAg test?

Question
I have a routine test for my loved one today. My relatives have never been tested for hepatitis. Tests at the present time show elevated liver enzymes: GOT 79.8 U/L, GPT 114.3 U/L, GGT 110.9U/L. Hepatitis A, hepatitis C, hepatitis E negative; HbSag negative, HBeAg positive. Could you please explain to the doctor what is the cause of elevated liver enzymes in a person with a positive HBeAg test result? Thank you doctor!

Hello! This case has mild elevation of liver enzymes, but the results you give are not enough to conclude the cause of the elevation of liver enzymes. It can only be determined that it is not caused by hepatitis A , C and E viruses.
So with the question “What causes elevated liver enzymes in people with positive HBeAg test results? "You should see a doctor to determine the cause. You can go to the hospitals of Vinmec Health System for more specific advice from doctors.
