Vinmec encouraged and actively supported human resources and supplies during the pandemic
Amid the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinmec Healthcare System has swiftly initiated activities to support human resources and supplies for field hospitals and overloaded healthcare facilities. This initiative aims to provide assistance and solidarity in the fight against the pandemic. Notably, Vinmec has made a significant contribution to supporting Ho Chi Minh City, a locality facing many challenges in managing healthcare resources.
Since the outbreak of the acute respiratory infection caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), especially since late July 2020, Vinmec Times City in Hanoi, along with all hospitals of Vinmec healthcare system nationwide, has launched and supported healthcare volunteers to examine and treat COVID-19 patients in various regions. This has significantly alleviated the burden on local healthcare facilities and ensured that patients receive quality medical care.
To aid in the diagnosis and prevention of COVID-19, Vinmec has continuously conducted sample screening according to the directions of local authorities. This effort helped identify and quarantine many suspected cases, thereby preventing the spread of the virus and safeguarding community health during this challenging period. Additionally, Vinmec Times City Hospital has been praised by the Hanoi Department of Health for establishing comprehensive pandemic prevention and control plans across four stages. These include hospital isolation plans, admission plans for COVID-19 patients, rational arrangements for receiving suspected COVID-19 patients, measures to ensure the safety of staff and patients, and more. The inspection team highly commended the hospital's well-organized and scientific approach in both professional and hospital management aspects during this complex pandemic phase.
While evaluating the results of the 2020 activities, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City recognized Vinmec Central Park's efforts to prevent the spread of the new strain of the Coronavirus. Particularly noteworthy was the establishment of an early screening emergency room and two negative pressure isolation rooms in the hospital's emergency department to prevent the infection of patients.
Responding to the call from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Vinmec Central Park actively participated in epidemic prevention work in industrial zones, including Cat Lai (District 2), Tan Tao (Binh Tan District), and the high-tech zone in Thu Duc City, starting from June 21, 2021. Furthermore, in response to the social distancing situation, Vinmec Central Park has been a pioneer in proactively implementing entirely new services in Vietnam, including remote healthcare and same-day surgery. Vinmec Central Park has been selected by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health as one of the nine hospitals to provide medical care for international passengers entering Tan Son Nhat Airport during the quarantine period.
