Especially in terms of aesthetics, this is a much more preferred method than wearing too thick glasses.

But the disadvantages of this method are also not few. Difficult to use by children, frequent removal of glasses, if not properly, can easily cause infection and damage the corneal epithelium. Using this method, children must always be carefully monitored and cared for by families and medical facilities. Especially note that children often lose glasses, if they do not know how to replace them immediately, the rate of treatment failure is quite high.

Corneal implant surgery

Is a piece of biological lens (taken from the human cornea) sewn to the front of the child's cornea after surgery. This is the most difficult method to implement.

Placement of an artificial lens

A method of using a lens made of PMMA material to be placed in place of the natural lens. This is the best optical correction method, the image size produced in the retina is almost unchanged. The artificial lens is placed in the surgical site, creating good conditions to improve vision and restore vision for children.

All of the above methods, if combined with eye exercise according to the doctor's instructions, have a good adjustment and support effect after surgery for children with CKD. However, avoiding the causes that cause children to have diabetes, including diabetes, is the best measure.
