Hello! Horseshoe kidney is a congenital structural abnormality of the kidney. People with horseshoe kidney have a higher risk of kidney stones, urinary tract infections, ureteral junction stricture and kidney cancer than normal patients. Therefore, you need to follow up with ultrasound, blood tests, kidney function and urine periodically (6 months). Drink enough water every day, when taking medicine to treat the disease, consult a doctor, to prevent abdominal injury. The monitoring of chronic kidney disease in horseshoe kidney is the same as for normal kidney.
