A retractile testicle is a testicle that can move back and forth between the scrotum and the groin. When the testicle is retracted, it stays in the groin and can be easily guided back into the scrotum by a doctor during an examination. In most boys, the retractile testicle disappears before or during puberty. But sometimes the testicle remains in the groin and cannot be moved.
