On average, 1 in 250 children suffer from torticollis. Children may have torticollis from birth or from a medical condition. Although torticollis does not cause pain, it greatly affects the child's appearance and normal development later on.

Torticollis in children is caused by many factors, but the main cause is due to diseases of the muscle groups in the neck area, especially sternocleidomastoid fibrosis. If detected and treated early, torticollis will limit complications and have a better chance of treatment than late treatment. Therefore, parents need to pay attention to take their children to medical centers for examination and treatment.
