What is a sweat gland tumor? Symptoms and causes
Syringoma is a small, benign tumor that is easily noticeable because it usually grows on the upper cheek or lower eyelid. The skin lesions caused by syringoma are usually harmless because they are the result of overactive sweat gland cells, and can occur at any age. Syringoma can be caused by genetic abnormalities or metabolic diseases inside the body.

Hidradenomas are yellow, translucent or flesh-colored nodules that usually appear on the face, especially around the eyes. These skin lesions are often asymptomatic. However, hidradenomas can be extremely itchy, especially when sweating, and are sometimes cosmetically unsightly. When indicated, hidradenomas can be treated with surgery, electrocautery, or laser.
