Apri is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones, including progestin and estrogen. Apri works mainly by preventing ovulation during the menstrual cycle. It also thickens vaginal discharge to prevent an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent a fertilized egg from attaching.
