Lyell's syndrome, also known as toxic epidermal necrolysis, is a potentially life-threatening dermatologic disorder characterized by widespread erythema, necrosis, and desquamation of the epidermis and mucous membranes, resulting in the epidermis separating from the dermis at the mucocutaneous junction.
