Laryngeal mask anesthesia is a general anesthesia technique with placement of a laryngeal mask to control breathing during surgery. This method is often applied in endoscopic surgery to assist in clamping the neck of aneurysms.

When a patient suddenly has a severe headache, or some symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, blurred or double vision, convulsions, loss of consciousness... a CT scan, brain MRI... will be prescribed to diagnose a cerebral aneurysm.
