Helicobacter pylori and central serous chorioretinopathy
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is a major pathogen implicated in the etiology of gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, gastric cancer, and primary gastric lymphoma. Although the exact mode of transmission of Hp remains controversial, some authors have considered the role of Hp infection in ocular diseases, including some common diseases such as glaucoma and some uncommon diseases such as mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. We still do not know exactly how Hp targets the eye.
