Significance of bladder manometry
Urination is a complex process that is closely related to the ability of the bladder to function. Nerves in the bladder interact with the spinal cord and brain to receive signals that cause the bladder to contract when it is full of urine. To evaluate the ability of the bladder to function, doctors will use a procedure called bladder manometry to evaluate any muscle or nerve abnormalities that affect the body's ability to urinate.
