Characteristics of meniscus tear in grade 2
The meniscus is a rubbery cushion between the femur and the tibia that acts as a shock absorber for the knee. The meniscus consists of two parts, the inner and outer. Grade 2 medial meniscus tears are usually more severe. Grade 2 medial meniscus tears are characterized by being split in half or torn around the circumference in a C-shape and often require surgical intervention.
