MSc, Specialist Level II Dr. Hoang Huong Huyen currently serves as Head of the Laboratory Department at Vinmec Smart City International Hospital. 

She has many years of experience in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine, playing a crucial role in laboratory operations and ensuring accuracy of clinical tests related to blood analysis. 

Dr. Huyen earned her MD from Hanoi Medical University (1992–1998) and later pursued a subspecialty orientation in Hematology – Transfusion Medicine (2005–2006). She advanced her training by completing a Master’s in Hematology – Transfusion Medicine in 2010 and attained the Specialist Level II qualification in the same specialty (2019–2021) also at Hanoi Medical University. Over her career, she has held roles such as lecturer in Hematology – Transfusion Medicine at Hanoi Medical Technical College, and worked in the Laboratory Department at Vinmec Times City between 2011 and 2024, before assuming leadership as Head of Laboratory at Vinmec Smart City. 

Dr. Huyen has participated in research and publications in the fields of blood testing and transfusion medicine, contributing to protocol improvements and the application of new techniques in clinical laboratory work. She is also an active member of professional societies in clinical laboratory science and laboratory medicine. 

With a spirit of continuous learning and dedication to her role, Dr. Huyen has earned high evaluations for her work performance and has been awarded commendations for her professional contributions by her hospital and healthcare organizations.
