Bác sĩ Paul O’Halloran

Ông Paul O'Halloran đã làm việc và nghiên cứu hơn 45 năm trong việc thúc đẩy thực hành tâm lý theo định hướng phục hồi và dựa trên bằng chứng cho những người có vấn đề về sức khỏe tâm thần. Ông đã làm việc tại Úc, Vương quốc Anh, Châu Âu, Châu Mỹ và Trung Đông ở mọi cấp độ bao gồm chăm sóc lâm sàng trực tiếp, nghiên cứu và giảng dạy sau đại học, chính sách quốc gia và phát triển thực hành cũng như vai trò cải thiện dịch vụ lâm sàng.

Cho đến gần đây, ông là Trưởng khoa Tâm lý tại Cơ sở Y tế Địa phương bang Western Sydney (WSLHD), Úc. Ông vẫn tiếp tục công việc lâm sàng của mình với tư cách là Nhà tâm lý học lâm sàng hành nghề tư nhân ở Sydney. Các mối quan tâm về chuyên môn lâm sàng của ông hiện tập trung vào việc hỗ trợ phục hồi những người mắc các bệnh như trầm cảm, lo âu, OCD, chấn thương, rối loạn nhân cách và rối loạn tâm thần bao gồm can thiệp và trị liệu gia đình. Trước khi đảm nhận vị trí Trưởng khoa Tâm lý của WSLHD, ông là Nhà tâm lý học lâm sàng cấp cao của các dịch vụ sức khỏe tâm thần cộng đồng của WSLHD. Trong những năm trước, trước khi ra nước ngoài, ông đã làm việc ở rất nhiều vị trí, bao gồm Cán bộ chính sách tại Bộ Y tế Chi nhánh Sức khỏe Tâm thần bang New South Wales, Giảng viên cao cấp tại Khoa Khoa học Y tế và Sức khỏe tại Đại học Wollongong, Nhà tâm lý học lâm sàng cao cấp của Dịch vụ Y tế vùng Illawarra đồng thời là nhà tâm lý học nghiên cứu của Đại học Sydney và Bệnh viện Royal North Shore.

Khi ở Vương quốc Anh, ông đã đảm nhận một số vai trò quan trọng ở địa phương, quốc gia và quốc tế, bao gồm:
